JUSTIFICATION OF ADAPTABLE PARAMETERS OF THE CUTTING DRILLING TOOL

Abstract

Selection of rational drilling tool, particularly for the development of foliated rock, that has different physical and mechanical properties, provides increased drilling rate, decreased power consumption, minimizing the cost of manufacturing process. Combined drilling bits provide adaptation, i.e, automatic change of tool options in accordance with the strength of drilled out formation. The article deals with the adaptable parameters and their limit values, in particular, the shape of crosscut angles, cutting opportunities, the possibility of changing the structure of drilling bits and constructive realization providing an axial displacement of block of cutters working with hard rocks, relative to the block of cutters for soft rocks, the use of continuous or discrete cutting lines. The possibilities of such an approach are confirmed by widespread combined bits and tool design, proposed by the authors. Development of the drilling tool with the adapted parameters lets you create new high-performance cutting drilling tool.
