CONJUGATE HEAT EXCHANGE IN THE LAMINAR FLOW OF NON-NEWTONIAN FLUIDS IN CHANNELS WITH RADIATING EXTERNAL SURFACES

Abstract

The numerical solution of heat transfer conjugate problems with regulated laminar flow of non-Newtonian fluids in tubes taking into consideration the existence of upstream heat insulated section is given. External surface of tube gives off heat into ambient space by radiation and convection simultaneously. The main attention was paid to the determination of the bulk temperatures of the fluid and the local Nusselt numbers.
