Abstract

A simulation model of impact action on products made of compact and powder steels with an elastic-dissipative substrate (EDS) has been developed. The developed simulation model made it possible to synthesize the structure and construction of a composite material with elastic-dissipative properties and optimize its parameters depending on the operating conditions and the impact energy acting on the part. The damping characteristics and the magnitude of the elastic work of the EDS deformation after a single impact, which depends on the elastic modulus and geometric parameters of the substrate, are determined from the obtained oscillograms of the transient process. The logarithmic decrement of attenuation with a change in the height of the elastic-dissipative substrate from 2,5 to 10 mm increases from 0,405 to 0,75, which affects the operation of the EDS dissipation.
