Abstract

Enamel coatings for architectural and construction panels must have certain quality characteristics, which are primarily determined by the brand and chemical composition of the enameled steel. These properties affect not only the physicochemical processes occurring in the steel-enamel contact zone, but also, in general, the structure of the coating itself and its technical and operational properties. It is also very important to study the intensity of outgassing during the firing process, its sources and influence on the quality characteristics of the coating. Therefore, it is relevant to study the effect of temperature-time parameters of firing on the features of the course of chemical processes in the «steel-enamel» system. Based on this, the authors of the article studied the formation of the structure of previously developed glass-enamel coatings (ground and white cover) for steel architectural and construction panels on various steel grades (St3, St20, 09G2S) and at different firing temperatures (800, 820, 840 °C) and dwell time (0 to 5 min).

Keywords: glass enamel coating, glass enamel structure, architectural and construction panels, vandal protection, ena-mel synthesis, protective coatings for steel, steel grades, firing temperature
